Offerings

To facilitate, simply, is to make easy, and things are easier when you don’t have to do them alone.

I show up as a trusted partner in tough strategy decisions, stalled projects, and moments of culture misalignment, helping you identify the wisdom that’s already in the space and the solution that’s right for your group. Often, it’s easier to see the patterns from the outside.

Perhaps there are unaddressed tensions or just plain conflict, and no one is naming it.

Or meetings feel pointless, and people are disengaging as a result.

Maybe the work is going fine, but something seems off in your relationships.

It doesn’t have to stay that way, and you deserve a teammate in figuring out what’s next. That’s where Stone Kohn Consulting comes in. My role is to create a space where you can be more fully present, and we can honor the magic that comes from that presence. It may sound simple, but it’s a first step towards individual and group transformation.

I specialize in working with small to midsize organizations and teams, offering the following:

  • Working at the intersection of dreaming big and getting concretely actionable. This might look like strategic planning or re-evaluating organizational priorities during a time of transition or instability.

  • Getting clear on what you’re doing and how. Maybe you need to re-evaluate your vision or build a collective theory of change. This is particularly useful for newer groups or groups that have gone through recent transitions and lack a shared understanding of their direction.

  • Creating space for the conversations you’ve known (or haven’t known!) you need to have. I support groups to identify the actual root of a problem - particularly interpersonal and cultural conflicts that get played out as strategy or logistical disagreements (or vice versa!). Once you’re clearer about what’s happening, I can help you build skills and capacity for productive conflict, resolution, and repair.

  • Assessing values alignment and working toward culture shift. You may know what you collectively believe in, but find yourself struggling to live it out. I support groups to bridge that gap, make culture tangible, and turn ideas into action.

  • Hosting communities of practice. Many of the ways we’re taught to work actually get in the way of learning from each other. Your mission, and outcomes, require opportunities for collective learning and relationship-building. Unfamiliar with the concept? Read more about communities of practice here.

  • Bringing others in. I develop and lead stakeholder engagement processes with a focus on equitably engaging often-excluded stakeholders (young people, recipients of your services, etc.).

I also serve as a business strategy advisor through Elevate Hennepin, offering free one-on-one coaching to current and prospective Hennepin County business owners. Fill out our interest form and mention my name to get started!

I offer my services on a sliding scale based on organizational access to resources, and we will assess your place on that scale together when we meet. I’d love to start thinking about how we can work together.

“From when we first met, you quickly understood exactly what we wanted to accomplish and were clear what was realistic within our timeframe. Your understanding of boards like ours was a big help too…We accomplished exactly what we wanted and needed to in our retreat and I really don't think we would have without your help. As a facilitator myself, I learned a few new tools and tips.

“Milo gave us the drive to plan our organization while also directing our excitement into plans and keeping us on track. They made it fun, exciting, and most of all helped us achieve more than we thought we would have.
